Well I’m in maths now and Miss Evans is away, and we’ve done our GCSE for it now, so I guess that I will never have to worry about maths again! The only problem is, Miss E is going to forcce me to do this “C2″ module and exam over the rest of this year and year 11, which I don’t really want to do, because it’s a complete waste of time. The whole module thing is only a third of an AS Level qualification, so I couldn’t even put the work that I put into it on a CV. I don’t want to do the work, because I’m actually sick of maths and I’d rather be concentrating on othger subjects, but I worry that I’ll be forced to do it and then get told off when I let them down and don’t do any work - I don’t exactly want to hurt anyone now, do I?
So enough of the serious maths talk for now. I’m sitting next to Hannah Mayes and she’s editing random photos of people from Battle of the Bands (we’re in the maths computer room) and she says “Hello World!” Doesn’t that bring back memories of the Wiz? Speaking of which, I can get my CD of the songs from there today, at last! I feel so excited!
I still can’t see what all the fuss is about the Band Battle really. I’m sure it was a fun event (I didn’t go), but everyone is still talking about all the sexy boys they saw and met and talk to on Myspace and all the fun they had and the clothes they wore and everything. The event was in February, for goodness’ sake! Maybe I’m just an old granny about things…
I’m going to Germany tomorrow! I’m soooo excited! Laura Crane is sitting a few seats along from me and talking in German… On Saturday my Exchange (Jasmin) is taking me to a “Western Saloon”. Should be interesting. Who knows any good country music? Apparently that’s her favourite kind of music. It reminds me of the folk string thing I had to do at the beginning of this year, and we played “Skip to my Lou” in bluegrass style! The things I get up to in my free time…
So what other things should I talk about? I’m trying to make this as long as possible so Emma (aka Jazzy E) can read it, because she said she finds them interesting. Speaking of blogs in fact, I’ve decided to do a big fat mama Diary/blog of my German Exchange for my AS English coursework! I hope that it’ll be good enough…
Oh yea yesterday I wrote a song on my guitar! I haven’t written any for a while, so it was quite nice to feel inspired. It’s just about something I was feeling bad about yesterday, but it’s made me feel much better about it now. O yea and this morning I washed my hair! Can you believe that I did it before I went to school? I didn’t actually have a full-on shower though, I just leant over the bath, fully clothed and did my hair, and I even had time to dry it afterwards!
I really am running out of things to say now. In fact I know what I’ll do, I’ll talk about the CD I got on Sunday…
Well, the CD I got is called “Tourist” and it’s by St. Germain. Here’s a picture:
I really like the album, and I’d never really heard any of his music before, so I was quite lucky. In fact the only reason I got it was because it was £5 (from Fopp, as usual) and my music teacher had another cd by him and she said I’d like it. The CD is like a mixture of Nu-Jazz and House combined together, and there’s also some Latin bits to it as well. This week I’ve also found myself listening to trance music again, which is really strange! I finally got round to burning Paul’s 2-hour-long trance set onto 2 CDs, and every tune but one on there was new to me, so it hasn’t been like I’m listening to the same songs I’ve heard thousands of times before. So it looks like that February resolution might be resolved after all! And that’s good all round…

I seem to be having a problem , subscribing to your RSS feed. It comes up with error 500. Let me know if its a easy to fix error or if its just me . Ive tried Chrome and Firefox.
